Link: ‘Hurt Locker’ producers about to sue an army of pirates
I’m not condoning movie piracy, but I would blame the slow international roll-out of this movie as the primary reason for the piracy. Even when this movie won the Oscar award for best picture, it was still not available in theatre in NZ. Then again, there’s always going to be a group of people who will download movies even if they’re being shown for free in the movie cinema next door to their house.
The war against movie piracy is getting downright explosive. We’ve learned that the producers of the Oscar-winning “The Hurt Locker” are preparing a massive lawsuit against thousands of individuals who pirated the film online. The case could be filed as soon as tomorrow.

So, what might be the best of green design for 2010 are the things that don’t get designed. Don’t design me a new iPhone, figure out how to make my old one last. Don’t design me a new “green house”, figure out how to make the one I have more efficient. Don’t sell me physical objects, help me re-purpose the ones I have or otherwise give me digital tools for a higher quality of life that don’t require Chinese injection moldings.

Link: Tip: Use the en-dash correctly
It’s good to understand when to use the en-dash. It is rather elegant, and this esoteric knowledge makes you feel superior.
- The en-dash is a linking device implying to or and.
- The hyphen joins two words to create a new word with its own meaning.
- The em-dash separates two items.
